Today I took all the kittens to Faithful Friends Animal Hospital. Despite being awkwardly far, the staff there was amazing and took great care of all the cats. Dobby, Ralph, and “Dingleberry” (check the Twitter if you’re confused) are now fixed and got their second round of shots courtesy of For Animals Inc.
And thanks to your timely contributions, I also brought “Barb” the stray cat for a walk-in appointment. She tested negative for FeLV, FIV, and FPV which means she could start playing with the other cats.
Dr. Jill Caruso also gave her a x-ray and figured out her limp was caused by a dislocated digit in her right paw. For two weeks she’ll have to wear a splint, which isn’t nearly long enough cause I’m cracking up watching her walk around the room.
In all seriousness, Barb has a long list of awesome donors to thank: Barbara, Lori, Shirley, Elizabeth, Elena, Tatyana, Tammy, and Luna. You people made it possible for me to foster her. And honestly, I’m super glad I doubled back for this one. She’s one of the nicest cats I’ve ever worked with.
I think the only way to wrap up this story is some cheesy kind of happy ending where we find her a good home. If anyone has a friend who’s looking for a cat, please have them shoot me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
P.S. I was wearing the GoPro during the entire vets visit so you’ll get a neat POV of me trying to get kittens in crates and trying to strike up a conversation with my cab driver in broken spanish.
P.P.S Dobby is a girl. I don’t know if I actually announced this ever.
